Carl is a 1982 graduate of Merrimack College, Andover, MA, where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. Before starting Berkshire Irrigation, he was a purchasing manager for one of the high-tech firms in Needham, MA. His irrigation experience comes from many years of working with a Boston Landscaper, where Carl was the irrigation designer and installer. Carl and his wife Martha moved to Canaan, NY in 1995 and started Berkshire Irrigation in March of 1996.

Martha is a 1985 graduate of Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Finance. She worked as an account manager for the Procter and Gamble Co. for 15 years before deciding to manage the irrigation business, effective May 1, 2000.
